Compare Party Bus Rentals in Tempe
Surprisepartybuscompany.com is a quote-comparison website — not a bus company, not an operator, and not a motor carrier. It doesn't own vehicles or provide transportation. What it does is make it incredibly simple to find, compare, and request quotes for party buses, charter buses, minibuses, and Sprinter vans from a large network of transportation providers serving Tempe and the greater Phoenix metro.
Instead of calling five different companies, describing your trip five separate times, and waiting on callbacks that never quite line up — you fill out one quick form and see different vehicle options and planning rates in seconds. No account required. No obligation.
The form takes about a minute to complete, and help is always available by phone at 480-454-1974 any day of the year.
That's the whole idea: put every option in one place so you can find the right bus at the right price, whether you need a 15-passenger party bus for a bachelorette crawl down Mill Avenue or a 56-passenger charter bus for a full ASU football tailgate group rolling in from the West Valley.
Popular Tempe Bus Sizes and Styles

Explore The Tempe Charter Bus & Party Bus Amenities
Not every Tempe trip calls for the same vehicle. A 25-passenger party bus heading to a Sun Devils game typically comes with LED lighting, a premium sound system with Bluetooth, flat-panel TVs, and wraparound perimeter seating — great when the celebration starts the moment everyone boards. A minibus is the smarter fit for corporate shuttles between Tempe hotels and the Phoenix Convention Center, with reclining seats, powerful A/C, and overhead storage without the party-bus footprint.
Full-size charter buses add undercarriage luggage bays and onboard restrooms — useful for longer hauls to Tucson or Flagstaff, or any group that doesn't want pit stops defining the itinerary. Amenities vary by vehicle, and the fastest way to match the right bus to your specific trip is to call 480-454-1974 or use the quote form.

To give you a planning baseline: a 15-passenger party bus runs roughly $200–$350/hour on weekdays and $250–$350/hour on weekends. A 30-passenger party bus runs $300–$375/hour on weekdays and $325–$425/hour on weekends.
A charter bus for the full group generally runs $200–$350/hour either way, or $1,350–$2,850 for a full-day run. A minibus tends to come in at $200–$275/hour on weekdays.

More Choices on Tempe Party Buses, One Search
Here's the great news: Surprisepartybuscompany.com is not a local bus company. That means you're never limited to a single fleet. The site connects you to a large network of transportation providers serving Tempe, the East Valley, and the broader Phoenix metro — so you get real options at real price points, side by side, without spending an afternoon on the phone.
ASU game days bring 53,000+ fans to Mountain America Stadium (formerly Sun Devil Stadium) and turn Rural Road into a parking lot by noon. Mill Avenue on a Saturday night means every rideshare in a half-mile radius is surging. Tempe Town Lake events draw crowds that back up Apache Boulevard from the 101 to the 202.
These are the moments when having a confirmed bus already sorted — not scrambling for a ride at midnight — makes the entire difference.
Surprisepartybuscompany.com helps you get ahead of all of it. Compare vehicles, check planning rates, and lock in your date without pressure or obligation. Call 480-454-1974 any time — the line is open every day of the year — or use the online form for instant results.
Tempe Party Bus & Charter Bus Services
From airport transfers and ASU game-day shuttles to wedding shuttles, bachelorette nights, prom, concerts, corporate events, and school field trips — whatever brings your Tempe group together, there's a bus in the network for it. Call 480-454-1974 to get moving.

Tempe Airport Shuttles & Transportation
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (3400 E Sky Harbor Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85034) sits less than three miles from downtown Tempe — close enough that groups often assume ridesharing makes sense right up until they're staring at a 2x surge at 6am with 18 bags and 14 people. It doesn't.
Sky Harbor's ground transportation for pre-arranged buses uses the commercial vehicle lanes on the Arrivals level of each terminal. Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 each have designated commercial pickup curbs — have your full group assembled with luggage before the bus moves to the curb, because Sky Harbor's ground transportation flow moves quickly and waiting time is limited. For the most current commercial vehicle access details, the official Sky Harbor ground transportation page is the right place to check before your pickup day.
A Tempe airport shuttle bus keeps the whole group on one timeline instead of splitting across three rideshare pickups that never arrive simultaneously. Call 480-454-1974 to get a quote for your Sky Harbor transfer.

Tempe Bachelor & Bachelorette Transportation
Mill Avenue is the center of gravity for Tempe bachelorette nights — a walkable strip of bars, rooftop spots, and late-night venues running through the heart of downtown between University Drive and 5th Street. The trouble is that Mill Avenue parking is metered, enforcement runs late, and the closest garage fills up by 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Rideshare demand spikes sharply after midnight when every group on the strip is trying to leave at once.
A Tempe bachelorette party bus in the 20–30 passenger range keeps the whole group together from the first stop to the last, with LED lighting, Bluetooth sound, and perimeter seating already built in. No one gets separated, no one waits 25 minutes for a surge-priced ride, and the group can extend the night to Scottsdale's Old Town without reorganizing the entire plan. Call 480-454-1974 to check weekend availability — Friday and Saturday nights in Tempe book out fast.

Tempe Birthday, Sweet 16, & Quinceañera Party Bus Rentals
A party bus arrival is one of those moments that gets photographed and remembered — and for Sweet 16 and quinceañera celebrations in Tempe, it sets the tone before anyone even walks through the venue door. Reception halls across the East Valley like those near Chandler and Mesa see a consistent run of milestone celebrations, and a Tempe birthday party bus rental in the 20–30 passenger range is the standard fit for school-friend groups heading from a family home to a venue.
For adult milestone birthdays — 30th, 40th, 50th — a night that moves from dinner on Mill Avenue to a rooftop bar and back again is exactly what a 25-passenger party bus is built for. No one has to be the designated driver, no one misses a stop because they couldn't find parking, and the group stays together from the first pickup to the final drop-off. Use the quote form or call 480-454-1974 to check availability for your date.

Tempe Concert Transportation & Shuttles
Tempe and the surrounding East Valley sit within range of several major concert venues, and each one has its own set of parking headaches worth knowing before your group shows up. Tempe Beach Park (54 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281) hosts outdoor concerts and festivals along the north shore of Tempe Town Lake — street parking in the surrounding grid fills fast, and the Mill Avenue bridge area backs up badly on event nights. A party bus drops the group curbside on Rio Salado Parkway and picks everyone up at the same spot when the show ends.
For arena concerts, Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale draws big touring acts, and Mountain America Stadium on the ASU campus hosts stadium-level shows where parking requires advance purchase and the walk from remote lots runs 20+ minutes each way. A Tempe concert bus rental sidesteps all of that. Call 480-454-1974 for concert-night pricing.

Tempe Corporate Event Transportation
Tempe's corporate corridor runs along the Loop 101 near Price Road and along Rio Salado Parkway, with additional conference and hotel activity concentrated near Tempe Marketplace and ASU Research Park. Shuttling a team between the Tempe Mission Palms (60 E 5th St, Tempe, AZ 85281) and a conference venue like the Marriott Tempe at The Buttes (2000 W Westcourt Way, Tempe, AZ 85282) is straightforward by minibus — and far more reliable than asking 30 employees to coordinate their own rides across two freeways during rush hour on the 202.
For larger corporate events pulling attendees from across the Phoenix metro, a charter bus staged at a central hotel parking structure solves the scatter problem: everyone boards once, arrives together, and the itinerary runs on your schedule instead of rideshare availability. Tempe corporate event transportation quotes are available any time at 480-454-1974.

Tempe Private Event Transportation Services
Tempe Town Lake is the anchor for the city's biggest outdoor event calendar. The Tempe Festival of the Arts runs twice yearly — in late March and early December — along Mill Avenue and the Rio Salado corridor, drawing large crowds over three days and turning every surface street within six blocks into a parking nightmare. For events at Rawhide in Chandler and other Valley venues, a private Tempe charter bus rental means your group is locked in on a confirmed vehicle instead of competing for rideshare capacity with thousands of other people trying to leave at the same time.
Family reunions, church retreats, and large friend-group outings benefit from the same logic: one bus, one timeline, one flat rate. Call 480-454-1974 for a quote — and if your event falls during a known busy weekend in Tempe, book the moment your headcount is confirmed.

Tempe Homecoming & Prom Party Bus Rentals
Tempe-area high schools — including Tempe High School, McClintock High School, and Corona del Sol — typically hold proms in April and May, and demand for party buses across the East Valley during that six-week window is genuinely intense. The same calendar pressure hits homecoming in October. Book by January for prom season. Waiting until March or April means higher rates and limited vehicle selection.
A prom party bus rental in Tempe for a group of 20–30 students typically runs $275–$375/hour on weekend evenings during peak season. That's the planning range — real pricing depends on the specific date and vehicle. The earlier the quote request, the more options available at the lower end of that range.
Call 480-454-1974 as soon as your prom date is confirmed.

Tempe School Event & Field Trip Transportation
Tempe is home to several strong K–12 schools and, of course, Arizona State University — one of the largest universities in the country. For K–12 field trips, the Arizona Museum of Natural History (53 N Macdonald, Mesa, AZ 85201) and the Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281) are popular East Valley destinations. Both are straightforward for minibus access, with surface-level drop-off areas and on-site bus parking available.
For ASU student group travel — academic department trips, athletic travel, student organization events — a charter bus with overhead storage, WiFi, and onboard restrooms handles longer hauls without the coordination required to move a large group in passenger vehicles. ADA-accessible vehicles are available through the network; mention it when you request your Tempe school event bus quote. Call 480-454-1974 to start planning.

Tempe Sporting Event Transportation
Mountain America Stadium (500 E Veterans Way, Tempe, AZ 85287), formerly known as Sun Devil Stadium, holds 53,599 fans, and ASU game days turn the streets surrounding the campus — Rural Road, Mill Avenue, Apache Boulevard — into a gridlock loop that starts two hours before kickoff. The stadium's closest surface lots require advance permits, and the walk from remote parking structures on the east side of campus to the stadium entrance runs 15–20 minutes each way. After a night game, that walk back in 95-degree September heat is nobody's idea of a good time.
A Tempe sporting event charter bus drops your group at the Veterans Way pedestrian approach — steps from the main gate — and is staged for pickup when the final whistle blows. For Sun Devils basketball at Desert Financial Arena (600 E Veterans Way, Tempe, AZ 85287), the same logic applies: adjacent parking is limited, and a bus that drops directly on Veterans Way keeps the group together. Read more about sporting event transportation from Surprise or call 480-454-1974 for same-day game quotes.

Tempe Wedding Transportation & Shuttle Service
Tempe's most popular wedding venues cluster near the lakefront and the historic downtown core. The Tempe Mission Palms (60 E 5th St, Tempe, AZ 85281) sits on 5th Street in the heart of downtown, where weekend valet is busy and guest parking means a several-block walk from the nearest structure. The Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W Rio Salado Pkwy) offers lakefront ceremony settings but sits in an area where guest parking is surface-level and limited on busy weekends.
A Tempe wedding shuttle bus solves both problems: guests at a hotel block on Mill Avenue or near the 101 are picked up at a single designated spot and dropped at the venue entrance without navigating one-way streets or paying for parking they didn't expect. A Sprinter limo handles bridal party transportation on the wedding day itself. For the bachelorette weekend, the network has party buses for that, too.
Call 480-454-1974 — wedding weekends in Tempe book months out, especially in spring and fall.

Tempe Winery Tour & Pub Crawl Transportation
Tempe's bar and craft brewery scene runs deep — and a pub crawl party bus rental in Tempe is the cleanest way to move a group through multiple stops without anyone managing logistics between rounds. Four Peaks Brewing Company (1340 E 8th St, Tempe, AZ 85281), one of Arizona's most recognized craft breweries, sits in a converted 1892 ice house near downtown — street parking around the brewery is tight on weekends, and the surrounding neighborhood streets fill up fast on busy nights. A bus stages nearby and pulls up when the group is ready to move.
Beyond Tempe, the network reaches Chateau Tumbleweed (2243 S 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85034) and wineries along the Scottsdale Road corridor — all reachable on a single Tempe party bus itinerary without anyone drawing straws for who drives. Call 480-454-1974 to build a custom multi-stop quote.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tempe Party Bus Rentals
How does this website work?
Surprisepartybuscompany.com helps you compare bus rental options; it is not the bus company and does not rent, own, or operate vehicles. When you submit the quote form, your trip details go through a booking company so you can review pricing and available vehicles for your date. You compare the options and book through the process shown with your quote.
What is Surprisepartybuscompany.com?
Surprisepartybuscompany.com is a quote-comparison website for group ground transportation. It is not a bus company, does not own vehicles, and does not provide transportation directly. It connects you to a large network of transportation providers serving Tempe and the greater Phoenix area, so you can compare party buses, charter buses, and minibuses in one place — with no account required and no obligation to book.

Prefer to talk it through? Call 480-454-1974 any day of the year and a real person will walk you through the available options and put together a quote for your specific trip.
The whole process takes about a minute to start.
How much does a party bus cost in Tempe?
Tempe party bus rental prices generally range from $200–$350/hour for smaller buses (15–20 passengers) up to $300–$500/hour for larger 40–50 passenger party buses on weekend evenings. Charter buses for big groups run $200–$350/hour or $1,350–$2,850 for a full day. These are planning ranges — your real price depends on the date, vehicle, and how long you need it.
Fill out the form or call 480-454-1974 and get actual pricing for your trip in under a minute. See the party bus prices page for more detail.
When is the busiest time to book a party bus in Tempe?
ASU home football season (September–November) and prom season (April–May) are the two highest-demand periods in the Tempe market. The Tempe Festival of the Arts weekends in late March and early December also spike demand. If your event falls on an ASU home game weekend, expect reduced availability and higher rates the closer you get to the date.
Book at least 2–3 months out for football season and by January for prom. For other events, 4–6 weeks of lead time is usually enough — but earlier is always better.
Can a charter bus park at Mountain America Stadium during an ASU game?
Mountain America Stadium's (formerly Sun Devil Stadium) surrounding lots require advance parking permits, and large vehicle staging on game days is coordinated through ASU event operations. The surface streets immediately around the stadium — Rural Road, Mill Avenue, Veterans Way — are typically restricted or heavily monitored during game windows. Before your game-day trip, review the official ASU Mountain America Stadium page and current ASU Athletics parking advisories for the most current commercial vehicle access information.
A charter bus dropping at the Veterans Way pedestrian approach and staging nearby is typically the cleanest plan for large groups.
What's the best vehicle for a Mill Avenue bar crawl in Tempe?
For most Mill Avenue groups — 15 to 30 people — a 25-passenger party bus or 28-passenger party bus is the right fit. The bus stages on nearby surface streets or in a commercial zone while your group is inside each venue, then pulls up for the next stop. This avoids the Mill Avenue parking scramble entirely and means no one is hunting for rideshare at midnight when surge pricing hits.
For smaller groups of 10–15, a minibus offers the same convenience at a lower hourly rate.
Are ADA-accessible buses available in Tempe?
Yes — ADA-accessible vehicles are available through the network. Mention the accessibility requirement when you submit your quote request or when you call 480-454-1974, and available options will be identified for your specific date and group size.
How far in advance should I book?
For most Tempe events outside of peak periods, 4–6 weeks of lead time is workable. For ASU football weekends, prom (book by January), the Tempe Festival of the Arts, and New Year's Eve, book 2–3 months out at minimum. The earlier you lock in, the more vehicle options are available at the lower end of the pricing range.
Call 480-454-1974 the moment your date and headcount are confirmed — there's no cost to get a quote.
Popular Tempe Party Bus Destinations
Tempe has a compact, event-dense geography — from the ASU campus and Tempe Town Lake to Mill Avenue and the 101 corridor. Here are six destinations where group transportation genuinely changes how the day goes.

Mountain America Stadium
Mountain America Stadium (500 E Veterans Way, Tempe, AZ 85287), the home of ASU football long known as Sun Devil Stadium, holds 53,599 fans and hosts games from September through November, plus occasional major events like the Fiesta Bowl and concerts. On game days, Rural Road closes to through traffic north of University Drive by late morning, and the surface lots directly adjacent to the stadium require advance permit purchase — walk-up parking for large groups is effectively nonexistent. The closest parking structures on the east campus side of Veterans Way put fans 15–20 minutes from the main gate on foot.
A charter bus drops your group directly on Veterans Way at the stadium pedestrian approach and is staged for the post-game pickup, so no one makes that walk in the Arizona heat after a four-hour game. Check current game-day access at the official Mountain America Stadium page.
Address: 500 E Veterans Way, Tempe, AZ 85287

Desert Financial Arena
Desert Financial Arena (600 E Veterans Way, Tempe, AZ 85287) is ASU's on-campus arena, seating 14,198 for basketball and hosting concerts and events year-round. It shares the Veterans Way corridor with Mountain America Stadium, meaning parking challenges are nearly identical: the closest lots require advance purchase, and the surrounding streets are permit-restricted during events. For visiting groups coming from outside the ASU campus area, arriving by minibus or charter bus via Veterans Way and dropping curbside on the arena's north side avoids the permit-zone scramble entirely.
Rideshare pickup during post-event surges can run 20–30 minutes of wait time in this area. A confirmed bus staged nearby is a much cleaner exit. See current event and parking info at the official Desert Financial Arena page.
Address: 600 E Veterans Way, Tempe, AZ 85287

Tempe Beach Park & Tempe Town Lake
Tempe Beach Park (54 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281) runs along the north shore of Tempe Town Lake and anchors the city's outdoor festival calendar. The Tempe Festival of the Arts takes over the surrounding streets twice yearly — late March and early December — drawing large crowds across three days and shutting down Mill Avenue and portions of Rio Salado Parkway to vehicle traffic. During those weekends, every metered spot within walking distance is gone by 10am and rideshare demand in the area runs at near-constant surge.
A bus that drops your group on the open section of Rio Salado Parkway before the closure point and picks up at a pre-arranged location eliminates the post-festival transportation scramble. Non-festival weekends are more manageable, but the lake's surrounding lot space is still tight on busy Saturday afternoons. Verify current event schedules and road closure maps at the official Tempe Beach Park page.
Address: 54 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281

Tempe Marketplace
Tempe Marketplace (2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281) is an open-air retail and entertainment complex along the south shore of Tempe Town Lake, anchoring the eastern end of the Rio Salado corridor. It has ample surface parking by day, but the lots fill fast on weekend evenings when its restaurant row and entertainment venues are running at capacity. Corporate event groups using the Marriott hotels near the 101 on the west end of Tempe often shuttle east to Marketplace for team dinners, and a minibus makes that transfer reliable on a fixed timeline rather than dependent on everyone finding their own way.
For concert events or large private parties hosted in Marketplace's event spaces, a charter bus staged in the outer lot handles post-event exit more cleanly than a rideshare queue. Check current events at the official Tempe Marketplace site.
Address: 2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281

Four Peaks Brewing Company
Four Peaks Brewing Company (1340 E 8th St, Tempe, AZ 85281) operates out of a restored 1892 territorial-era ice house near the ASU campus and produces some of Arizona's most widely distributed craft beer — Kilt Lifter Scottish Ale being the flagship. The tap room is one of Tempe's most popular gathering spots for group outings, but the surrounding streets off 8th Street are a residential neighborhood grid with metered parking that runs out early on busy evenings. A group of 15–25 arriving by party bus skips the street-parking search entirely — the bus stages on a nearby commercial block while the group is inside, then pulls up for the next stop on the pub crawl itinerary.
Four Peaks also operates a second location at Four Peaks at the Taphouse (same phone: (480) 303-9967) closer to Tempe Marketplace. Visit the official Four Peaks site for current hours and events.
Address: 1340 E 8th St, Tempe, AZ 85281 | Phone: (480) 303-9967

Tempe Center for the Arts
Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281) sits on the western edge of Tempe Town Lake with an outdoor amphitheater and two indoor performance spaces. It's a top-tier venue for wedding receptions, corporate galas, and private events, with a lakefront backdrop that makes it one of the more sought-after spaces in the East Valley. The surface lot adjacent to the venue fills quickly on event nights, and the next closest options require a walk across the Rio Salado Parkway pedestrian bridge — not ideal in formalwear or after a long performance.
A wedding shuttle bus that picks guests up from hotel blocks along the 101 corridor and drops directly at the TCA entrance solves that entirely. For school groups and student productions, a minibus loading in the west surface lot keeps the group together from the ASU or K–12 campus to the doors. See current programming at the official TCA page.
